People do not typically put much thought into the importance of plastic jar uses; however, if they suddenly vanished from the face of the earth, they would be greatly missed! There are millions of uses for plastic jars, for wide mouth commercial jars, plastic chemical jars, plastic cylinder bottles, plastic handleware, and on and on. As a matter of fact, it is estimated that every hour in the United States 2.5 million plastic bottles are being used for one purpose or another.

Companies that manufacture and sell plastic storage jars and wide mouth commercial jars do so for a diversified number of purposes. Some uses for these products include, but are certainly not limited to, vitamins, prepared foods, salad dressings, water, energy drinks, cleaning products, sauces, salsa, flavorings, and too many more to list.

Wide mouth jars are preferred by many people because of their ease of use. They come in all shapes and sizes, and in many different colors. They can be made child resistant and can even come in a variety of designs including company logos. The opening of wide mouth commercial jars can be custom sized as well. They can be as wide as the customer specifies them to be.

Many manufacturers have turned to the “greener” way of producing their plastic bottle containers and now offer economical eco-friendly packaging. Many industrial plastic containers are now made of recycled resin, and are, themselves, recyclable. Once the product inside the containers has been finished, the containers are able to be reused by the customer for storing other products.

Wide mouth commercial jars also include glass mason jars. These were originally manufactured for the purpose of home canning. They are constructed out of soda-lime glass and they are available in two different sizes, regular mouth commercial jars and wide mouth commercial jars. They can also be found in volumes such as half gallon, quart, pint, and cup.

Because mason jars were manufactured at a time in history when most people actually canned their own foods, some of these jars are now considered antiques. They can be found in antique shops and auctions. Their value is determined by their shape, their mold, their color, and production marks, and their price is set by color, age, and condition. Mason jars were mouth blown between the years of 1857 and 1908. Around the end of that time they began to be manufactured by semi-automatic machines.

Many jars are made of a blow mold design. Blow molding is the process of forming hollow plastic parts. It is usually carried out on a blow molding machine which has three parts. These are the extruder, the accumulator die, and the molds from which the containers get their shapes. The three types of blow molding are extrusion blow molding, injection blow molding, and injection stretch blow molding. Blow molding is the process by which air inflates soft plastic into a type of hollow mold cavity. It is basically used for creating one piece plastic containers like bottles and other containers that have thin walls. The kinds of plastics used in the blow molding process are usually polythene, PVC, and polypropylene.

Extrusion blow molding is used to form plastics in the shape of a tube; for instance, straws, pipes, hoses, curtain tracks, and rods. Injection stretch blow molding is the process by which higher end containers are produced. These days companies that manufacture plastic containers and bottles can use any of the three processes to construct their products; extrusion blow molding, injection blow molding, or stretch blow molding.

There are several differences between typical blow molding and injection blow molding, but there is one main difference. The main difference is that blow molding is used to create hollow plastic parts, such as plastic bottles and containers. Injection blow molding is the process by which solid plastic parts are manufactured; for instance, coffee cup lids that are reusable. Other differences that exist between these two types of molding are the basic manufacturing process, their resilience, margins of error, and the types of design that can be used. When creating molded plastic parts, there are some changeable choices in the preferred parts used, such as the type of plastic and its strength and flexibility.
